Materials and finishes
- Q235 carbon steel: a widely used low-carbon structural steel that welds and forms easily. It needs a protective coating or galvanizing outdoors.
- Q345 steel: a low-alloy structural steel that is stronger than Q235, used where the frame carries more load or spans further.
- SUS304 stainless steel: an austenitic stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, a clean look and low maintenance.
- Powder coating: dry powder applied electrostatically and cured into a hard, even layer. It comes in many colours and resists chipping and fading.
- Electro-galvanizing: a thin zinc layer applied by electroplating that protects the steel from rust.
- Polishing: smooths and brightens the metal surface.
